Communications & Events Coordinator / Washington State University – Spokane

The Communications & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, content creation, marketing communications, social media management, and events management to advance the mission and goals of SP3NW and departments located the WSU Spokane Campus, specifically the Steve Gleason Institute of Neuroscience and Native American Health Sciences.

Duties include planning, coordinating, and implementing social media content, news releases, email newsletters, website content, and other materials, as well as planning and managing events. This position works under the direction of the WSU Spokane Director of Marketing & Strategic Communication in close collaboration with SP3NW leadership, with 40% of the coordinator’s time dedicated to leading comprehensive public relations and communication strategies and activities for SP3NW.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant field AND either two (2) years of professional experience in print OR broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience.

Monthly Salary: $4,508.70 – $6,199.47 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
